Python for Kids – Level 2

The program is divided into two parts:  

– Python for Kids 1: Covers the basics, including Introduction to Coding, Variables, and Data Structures.  

– Python for Kids 2: Explores more advanced topics such as Logic Statements, Loops, and Functions.  

Each class combines theoretical concepts, practical exercises, and homework assignments to reinforce learning. Above all, this course emphasizes curiosity and motivation, empowering students to use these building blocks to create amazing things.

Course Outline

• Lesson 1: If Statements. Students will begin to go over if/else statements in order to allow them to create quizzes.
• Lesson 2: Logic Operators. Students will learn how to use logic operators in if/else statements.
• Lesson 3: If Statement Exercises. Students will go back to implement if statements in older programs.
• Lesson 4: For Loop/While Loops. Students will learn about loops in python by beginning on for loops.
• Lesson 5: Functions. Students will learn how to use and create functions in python.
• Lesson 6: Random Functions. Students will begin to go more in depth on functions
• Lesson 7: Turtle Graphics. Students will learn how to create their own graphics using the turtle function.
